Ever feel like you can barely keep up with technology?! At times I do. Especially with advocating for Mattaw Children's Village. BUT, the good thing is, we trust in the Lord to bring about awareness for these children and to provide in ways we can't imagine. He who calls us to it, is faithful to fulfill! One of my favorite verses is "May the God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and bod be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and HE WILL DO IT!" 1Thes. 5:23-24 It takes all the pressure off of us and leaves us with peace. *sigh.
Ok, so a YEAR ago, yes a year ago, a girl came with her parents to Mattaw Children's Village. They're good friends of ours, the Dempsey family. If you've kept up with us for awhile you'll remember we had a playground put up? That was them. While there, their daughter who is in film school, put some videos together. Here is one. I'll post a few more in the coming days now that I know how. Yeah, didn't know how easy it was.
Just a bit on the video: The first little part is Hollie Aycock being asked a few questions. If you don't know who she is or what she does... well you should! She's a nurse from Texas but does so much more than just medical care at Mattaw. She is there now and helping to oversee everything while we're away. Mostly though she keeps all the medical files on each child (which she helped composed them last year) and takes our children to the hospital or doctor when needed. This is a very time consuming aspect at Mattaw so we're very thankful for her. Then on the video is our beautiful children singing. This was when we only had house one open. Enjoy!
