heart full of thankfulness...

House two mama with her twin boys we rescued in July 2012

Trying to get back into blogging more.  So here's for an attempt at a random update.

We are learning life with three small children.  Thankful we get to travel back across the big pond soon to learn life in our Kenyan home with them.  A lot of shifting going on, all good, but transition always will bring uncomfortableness.  And the bigger shift tends to bring a bigger uncomfortableness which is not always fun!  But I say bring it Jesus, yes to His ways, more, more, more so we can run stronger, getting free from all that entangles us in this race so that we can thrive in Jesus.  All glory and praise to Jesus.

Not only personal shifts and growth but also within Mattaw.  A WHOLE lotta pruning, so Jesus can bring more growth.  We give God all glory for the promises He is about to fulfill (and daily is fulfilling for that matter.)  Just this morning got a testimony from our Mattaw family that ROCKED OUR WORLD.  Going to be vague here, but just so thankful for our Mattaw family who continues to honor and follow the Lord and also remain loyal to Bud and I as our friends and family.  What a precious and strong group of followers of Jesus Christ we get to walk this journey with.  Thankful to see God's hand.  I know He is at work, I just KNOW it, but to get to see and hear the testimonies of it?!  Oh how He loves us and loves to show us where He is at work.  Our 75 Mattaw children are thriving beautifully.  They are loved, cared for and growing.  Praise God.  He is faithful.

THE SCHEMES OF THE DEVIL WILL NOT PREVAIL.  JESUS WINS!

Today a new album came out by Kim Walker-Smith from Jesus Culture, one of my all time favorite worship leaders.  Just worshiping to one of the songs on there called "still believe".  God has used this song today to minister to my heart in so so many ways.  So many.

"And I still believe you're the same yesterday, today and forever.  And I still believe your blood is sufficient for me"

"Your the higher power, darkness can not stand"

We've watched the devil try to take down the vision God has given us for Mattaw time and time again.  But when we keep our eyes on Jesus and rise above every storm, we are able to see how weak the plans of the enemy are.  They will not prosper.  And today we see that again.  And choose to believe that God is still the same yesterday, today and forever.  His heart is for the orphaned and He will defend them, He will not delay, He will come and has come.  The kingdom of heaven is established because Jesus won.  HE WON!  Ha, He won.  He defeated the grave and undid all the plans of the enemy.  We fight from victory, not for it.  Selah.

“[The Truth Shall Make You Free] Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.””John 8:31-32

Well, didn't mean to go on about that, but guess that's where I am right now.  Just had to get a little preachy here and brag on our God.  Still wanting to do a recap on 2012.  And more to share on our newest bundle of joy.  I'm so in love with him!

Here's the song I mentioned....
