By giving up everything for the sake of the Lord, moving to an unknown place and risking everything, you encounter all sorts of trials. But Jesus too endured so that we could and warns us of various trials we will go through. Through the storms, He brings us closer to Him. Through the fire, anything not of Him is burned away. I choose not to dwell on the outer battle though and trust Jesus to bring inner peace. And He is oh so faithful. Sure, life is hard. I choose to post on here the joy we find in our everyday rather than the hard stuff. Doesn't mean we don't go through hard stuff or that its bad to share hard stuff. I still don't have it all right and mess up, but I've learned a few things when the storms come. We must keep our eyes on the author and perfecter of our faith. (Hebrews 12:2) Dwelling on the goodness of God, not the storm around. Which brings me to the theme of this post today:
When life gives you lemons....
Blow bubbles!
And look for the goodness of God in everything. Because its always there. He is always there.
God might feel far when pain strikes, but its a choice you make to let Him show He is near and will never leave us.
"I will never leave you, nor will I ever forsake you" Hebrews 13:4-6
Find JOY in the simple.
And always keeping your heart in an attitude of thankfulness.
Today I'm thankful for family. For our little ever growing family. And for our Mattaw family. For our Mattaw leadership that has risen up to surround us with constant prayer and encouragement. For the lives that just might not be here unless Jesus was so faithful to lead us to bring them into our home.
When life gives me lemons... I blow bubbles. And sit with the ones He has led us to rescue.
Be joyful always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thess 5:16-18
You will keep him in perfect peace. Whose mind is stayed on you. Because he trust in you. Isaiah 26:3
