House of Amani

Since opening our most recent house, I still haven't snapped a group shot of the house parents with their house full of new children. House three's name is Amani, meaning peace in swahili. You walk into the house and know it is indeed a house of peace. The house parents love these childen as their own. It's been awesome to see how quickly all the house three children have transitioned. They know they are loved, no matter what.

This morning the house three parents sang a song in church for us with their four oldest girls. It was one of the most beautiful songs I've heard. Especially from them. I know they must have spent a lot of time practicing. And they sang together as a family, in harmony. I hope to get a video of it on here!

House Parents: Joseph and Grace.
Their children from left to right: Mercy, Mary, Christine, Mercy, Emmanuel, Dominic, Dan, Ayub, Angeline, Peter, Brian and Precious.
