TWENTY SIX!

Hello! Well today is my birthday. It's been a good one so far and it's only 10:43am. So far my amazing husband got up with the kids when they crazily decided to get up at 5:45am... Claire would have gladly kept sleeping had her brother not been so loud. Maybe they wanted me to be awake as much of my birthday as possible? How kind. But I gladly let him get up with them and got to sleep in... well, sleep in to me... I got up at 8:30am. Then I got up and found Bud had made french breakfast puffs (thank you pioneer woman for your amazing cookbook! here's the RECIPE in case you want to leave it on the counter for your husband as a hint to make on your birthday too so that you can be the happiest woman alive... and then regret the decision later when going for a run, but it's totally worth it) and also a fresh pot of coffee. God even made a beautiful sunshine morning for me with a slight breeze coming through the front porch so I could sit on it and enjoy my heavenly breakfast. We're about to head to the pool for lunch and afternoon. Then Bud is grilling chicken out tonight with roasted corn and twice baked potatoes. Ian, Caleb, Georgina and Betsy are all staying on our compound right now and are part of the family so we'll have a little celebration. Anywho, if you'd like to give me the best birthday present ever, you could go sign up to sponsor one of our precious children at Mattaw... www.mattawchildren.com. That would just bless my socks off. If you're unable to right now though, totally understandable, you can lift up a prayer for them today and continue to pray love and provision over them.

Here's a little updated slideshow of the kiddos. In it is a few pictures of two girls that were recently here for 6 weeks. Alicia is going to be a senior in high school and Julianne will be in her third year of college. We enjoyed having these two girls around to volunteer at Mattaw. I know God radically moved in their lives as they were here pouring out their lives for "the least of these". If you are interested in volunteering next summer with Mattaw, you can check out our website: www.mattawchildren.com and go ahead and contact us for further details: mattaw@yahoo.com. We are currently accepting applications.
