Kiddo update

Update on my little bambino's in pictures...

Elisha is usually up and out the door first thing when he wakes up. He at least puts his rain boots on!

We went to Eldoret for a fun outing and relaxing day last week. It was a few days after our last team left and a few days before our current team came. Im pretty sure we all needed a chiropractor after traveling the road from Kitale to Eldoret. Eldoret is about an hour away (depending on who is driving, in our case, Bud gets us there fast). We went with the Cooksey family and Bella. They are missionaries in Kitale. They have three kids, their youngest being around four months younger than Elisha. We left in the morning, got there and went to Nakumatt. Nakumatt is a grocery store not found in Kitale, it has more selections so we stock up on stuff like fruit bar snacks for Elisha, rice noodles, different sauces and salad dressings, Popsicles, ritz crackers, and Philadelphia cream cheese. (which I used the cream cheese to make Bud a awesome red velvet cake for fathers day, mama always said a way to a mans heart is through his stomach and boy is that ever true! haha) Then we went and ate at this awesome Indian restaurant. Then spent a few hours at the Eldoret club, swimming and playing tennis. We made a quick stop by the bakery on the way out to get chocolate croissants, then back to those beautiful roads. We made it home by 5, just in time for the sky to dump buckets of water. I tried to get a glimpse of what the road looks like. Take note, we are not on the actual road because the pot holes are so bad on this part that it's better to drive on dirt that also has pot holes.

No bother for our kids though! The bumps put them right to sleep. They both slept the whole way there... AND back.

And I know my updates on Claire have been few and far between. She is starting to hold her head up a lot better but it doesn't take long for her to let us know she doesn't like it. I'm so in love with her! Most of my time is still distracted (in the best way possible) by just staring at Claire and Eli.

I havne't been so great at taking pictures of our kids lately. I tried a few nights ago to get one of Elisha looking oh so cute in his bath robe....

But he ended up getting upset with me chasing him around....

Maybe next time...
