a hedge that protects

around our house there's no more sickness, praise the Lord! yesterday was labour day and though not really a holiday around here we kicked back and relaxed for the day. no lake trips, camping, or picnics but we did enjoy a couple of american football games on tv! so that was fun. im super excited for sunday nights. they're starting to air nfl games every sunday night.

the district childrens' officer for our area got transferred this past week. he still hasnt handed over the office and the new officer hasnt come. so today we'll go to the office and see what we can do. there's some ways around it where we're not going against any regulations as far as putting children in. we have hopes of getting the children in this week. wow, the struggle to get them in makes me much more thankful for them. a small taste of how our Father is with us. he contends to get us into His Kingdom and once we come, halleluiah there's a celebration in heaven. we fight for these children and their rights. (in the most peaceful way possible)

this week ive been dwelling on some scriptures of protection in Christ. One of the stories is from 2 Kings, coincidentally about the prophet Elisha :). In 6:14-17 the servant of Elisha got up one morning and saw their enemy with many troops, horses and chariots. He was overwhelmed and afraid. Elisha's response was "Dont be afraid! For there are many more on our side than theirs!" Then Elisha prayed "O, Lord, open his eyes and let him see!" Then the Lord opend his eyes and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire. i pray our household would have spiritual eyes to see how many more are on our side, the Lords side, and have confidence! At night the attacks come in my mind "are we protected?" "will thieves come tonight?" but our protection is not in guards, lights, dogs, gates, locks, but only from God. The second I put my trust in those physical things, my faith is shaken. God uses unseen supernatural forces to provide protection. why do physical attacks come against God's anointing, like the couple that was here in kitale, john and eloise? well i really dont know, but i know He works all things for good. because of a situation i cant stray from the promises in God's word, i have to stay rooted and grounded in the Word of God. some other scriptures...

psalm 118:6 The Lord is for me, I will not fear; What can man do to me?
psalm 33:18-22 The Lord watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his unfailing love.... We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our sheild. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone.

haha, even as i type this blog, i have God TV on and Creflo Dollar is preaching a message over psalm 27... The Lord is the strength of my life, I shall not be afraid. no coincidence.

much lovin in Jesus,
kimberly
