sunday

well, now i can communicate on this blog but cant get into yahoo mail! very unpredictable. we always say, TIA... This Is Africa.

Please be in prayer for our friends John and Eloise. They are an older missionary couple here in Kitale. They were attacked by theives last week. It was a horrible thing. I'm sure you can google their names and find the article online. The story made international news. We were so shook up about it and i cried out and had to ask why? The response and life lived by John and Eloise is one that is a truly surrendered heart to Jesus. The glory of God is shining so brightly from something that the enemy tried to kill, steal and destroy. Praise God is all i can say now! They were both severely beaten. Eloise managed to get untied, find John and drive to their friends house, both bleeding really bad. I was told when John awoke from being unconcious, he said we have to get those people saved. They are now in Nairobi hospital and are ministering to those coming to visit and the staff there. The Lord truly works all things for good, especially when those involved are laid down lovers of Jesus Christ. We are more than conquerers in Christ! They said they want to recover and come back to Kitale!!!! So please, continue to cry out for them in prayer. Prayer for their enemies. Pray for more glory and miracles to come from this. They've been here about 6 months i think. Its been a dream of Eloises' since she was a little girl. Since they've been a couple they've dreamed together of coming here. They're now 65 and 70 yrs old and such precious and amazing people. Their story should be passed on for a long time.

Its Sunday and I'm at home with Elisha watching a dvd from a conference in Holland that our friends here in Kitale helped out with in May. It has Bill Johnson and Heidi Baker in it. Bud and Hollie are out at the property finishing up painting so that Isaac and Vivian can move in Wednesday. At 3 today is church at the Fireplace

We have a super busy few weeks ahead. Actually this season of being in Kenya will be a busy but exciting one for us. Tuesday we have a young woman coming to visit for a night. She's staying in Nairobi with David Chan and his family but will come check out Mattaw children's home for a day. She's from the states and is a Young Life director. Then we'll get Isaac and Vivian moved in Wednesday. Then Thursday a small group from Watoto ministries in Uganda will be here. They'll do interviewing and videoing Friday. Friday our team flies in and will be here till the following Thursday. We met with our house parents yesterday. It went really well and we all joined together in prayer for the upcoming events. We all got really excited and anticipate a great movement of God out in the village next week.

Tomorrow we might be going to Eldoret to take Elisha to the dr. He's still having a fever and tummy yuck. Please keep praying for him and for him to be totally healed.
